It holds weapons like the AGM-129 advanced cruise missile, MK-84 conventional bombs, B-83 nuclear bomb and so many different types of artillery. This shows the potential power of this aircraft.
With all of the weaponry, it needs to be powered by a strong engine. Luckily, the aircraft is operated by 4 General Electric F118-GE-100 turbofan engines housed within the wing frame.
To reduce thermal signature, the engines have an exhaust temperature control system and keeps it under the radar. The 77kN engines deliver a high subsonic speed and a combined gross take-off weight of 336,500 pounds.
